Once Fu Gong ,who was in Song Dynasty, wrote in his book “Scripture of Crab Banquet” refer to “ the crabs are all appears in all prefectures of Jiangsu and Zhejiang Provinces, especially in Jiangsu ”. After the several years, onthe basis of “ Scripture of Crab Banquet” ,Gao Sisun compiled a “Crab's Recipe”. In these two works, they introduced a lot of kinds of exquisite crab's food at that time emphatically.

First,steamed crab. The culinary art method which Lin Hong especially recommends is the very simple boiling crabs, that is to say that to put the crab in water to boil, mix with the condiment , fill a cup of wine and hold crabs together with friends, it is content with such situation. This kind of way to eat, is similar to today's steamed crab, but the most genuine method to eat crab .

Second, a kind of crab custard making Hao subsidary , it is said that very delicious. Gao Sisun wrote a poem of “Praise Crab Custard”, it is said Song Gaozong also appreciated very much to crab custard.

Third, after dismantling the crab into bulks, add wine ,salt , plum , ginger , orange to mix, and needs some time to salt down. Then you can eat with clean hands.

Should not eat with the loach together :
State according to " Compendium of Materia Medica ", "loach sweet and flat and nonpoisonous, can warm and benefit the body, can quench one's thirst, can cure the male genitals that not arise ". It is obvious that its nature is tender warmly. But crab is cold, the function is contrary to the loach, so the two should not be with eating at the same time.

Should not eat with the musk melon together :
Musk melon muskmelon, sweet and cold in flavor and slippery, can eliminate hot to have an ease constipation. If it is eaten with crab , it can impair stomach to send to suffering from diarrhoea. The one that needs to be pointed out is that the pregnant woman with habitual abortion should avoid eating crabs.
